Organic Coffee Farm Visit . . .

Kona Coffee Bean Flowers

Following this self-guided tour, we'll probably stop whining about the cost of coffee.:  100 + pounds of beans = 1 pound of coffee.
The farm we visited roasts beans for some 200 farms in the Kona region., due to the cost of equipment (which is ancient).
The most effective way to harvest the beans is by hand picking them.  (80 trees are planted per acre.)

This farm's gift shop is selling paper beads made by women from Uganda.

The deeply rich and committed sense of global responsibility is very profound here.
