National Tropical Botanical Gardens . . .

Not supported by government funding, the Gardens are maintained by a Trust and donations.
Pretty mind-blowing for this point in history, isn't it ?

'Torch Ginger'
'Shell Ginger'

We visited the Allerton Gardens, yesterday.
They were a collabarative design by an artist, an architect, a gardener and a stone worker who chose an enormous, living canvas to showcase biodiversity at its best !.

The sculpturewas also wonderfully spaced throughout.
The mission of the Gardens:  "to enrich life through discovery, scientific research, conservation, and education by perpetuating the survival of plants, ecosystems, and cultural knowledge of tropical regions."  (Check out the work done by their scientists with the 'bread fruit.
tree.  It will help in the fight against worl hunger.)
Support their work as stewards of the land by becoming a member.
