We were welcomed by Gail walking through the Moon Gate entrance to the Treehouse.
We were IMMEDIATELY awed !
The true lushness of the path leading to the Treehouse (many bromeliads and orchids growing randomly on the trees wrapped in inches of moss, anthuriums in bloom, birds flitting about, tree ferns 20 feet tall . . . )
Bamboo is incorporated in all aspects of construction here.
The handcrafted, off-the-grid, luxurious treehouse was the vision of Gail Armand and Robert van Sluis.
It has been named 'Mahuinui Na Lani' (Hawaiian phrase for 'beautiful sky'), and sits at an elevation of about 4,000 feet.
It has been built with 'Green Concepts' and lots of found materials.
The stained glass windows reflect plants and birds of the area.

Really fascinating place, lovingly appointed and cared for !!!
