Sleeping Giant . . . Kapaa

Visible from the deck of the studio, the mountain known as the Sleeping Giant was another breathtaking experience of March 7th.

The large rock is the size of a VW Bug.

We ALWAYS have correct and appropriate shoes for a hike. . . . this day was not like that for us.  The path was extremely wet from many days of hard rains . . .and very slippery.  That being said, I still had on the wrong footwear & had decided to do the long downhill return barefooted. . . .  which felt great !
