July Is National Blueberry Month ...

July is also National Heat Wave Month, by my standards.


Two simple recipes to enjoy:

BLUEBERRY POPSICLES
Prep Time: 10 mins
Freezing Time: approx 4 hrs
Ingredients:
** 1 pint of rinsed Blueberries
** 1 cup of milk (Try "Almond Breeze" or Silk's Almond Milk)
** 1 cup of Greek Yogurt (Try 'Fago.')
** 2 Tblsp Vanilla extract (You can also just use a Vanilla Yogurt. We prefer Stoneyfield 0% Fat Vanilla)
** Sweeten to taste (Try Ajave)

1. Blend rinsed blueberries, yogurt, milk, and ajave until smooth.
2. Pour mixture into freezer pop containers or teenie paper cups.
3. Insert a handle.
4. Freezes in about 4 hours.

SMOOTHIE RECIPE:
Follow the above recipe upto point #2.
Blend ingredients with small ice cubes and 1/2 of a banana.
Pour into chilled glasses.

*The smoothie recipe is great with strawberries, too.
