Feed The Soil . . . Not The Plant

An effective way to maintain healthy, strong plants is to feed the organisms living in our soil.  The soil's biological activity and its relationship to our plants is a lifetime of research and study.  Every opportunity and choice we make, with this as our goal, is another step toward planet care and responsibile gardening.
This will minimize our usage of fertilizers and pesticides + show a reduction in our water consumption.
As a Gardener, I am fascinated by studying this stuff.  (This morning, I read a statistic that claimed that 9 billion living organisms can be found in a teaspoon of soil !)  There are endless resources out there for us to tap into.
Each step, from A - Z (Aphidius Wasp to Composting . . . Mulching to Vermiculture ),  helps.

HEALTHY SOIL = HEALTHY PLANTS

Get moving  . . .  and read something!

I highly support the following books :
GOOD BUG / BAD BUG by Jessica Walliser
CARROTS LOVE TOMATOES by Louise Riotte
ULTIMAT ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ORGANIC GARDENING by the Rodale Institute
